The Devil’s eco-trail is a neat place for a walk. Built around the natural phenomenon of the left tributary of the Buynovska River.
The area is a unique unity of highly attractive natural composition. The combination of rock formations, a waterfalls, the water cascades, erosion boilers, rock crowns and much more.
Also Rhodopes mountains have rich cultural heritage, including ancient Thracian sites, medieval castles, churches, monasteries. Picturesque villages with traditional Bulgarian architecture from the 18th and 19th centuries. Also the mountain range gives its name to the terrestrial ecoregion Rodope montane.
As a mater of fact the area is especially remarkable for its karst areas with its deep river gorges, large caves and specific sculpted forms.

∗ The starting point of the eco-trail is at the Buynovo gorge.
∗ First trek will leads us to the point of the Big and Small circle fork (30 min.).
∗ Next stop of the trek is to the the Devil’s Bridge
∗ A pleasant picnic amidst the captivating tranquility in the area.
∗ Next stop of the trek is the climbing the Devil’s Ladder.
∗ Get to the last point of the trail to the parking lot of the village of Borino. The remains of the eco-tial is at the Rhodope fortress.
∗ Departure to the hotel.
∗ Check-in at the hotel, free time.
∗ Dinner at the hotel restaurant, relax in a traditional atmosphere while enjoying deliciously prepared food, free time.
Day 2
∗ Today after breakfast we will continue our adventure in the region.
∗ Check out from the hotel.
∗ Short transfer to the strating point of the trek the Soskovcheto Reserve.
∗ The first stage of the trail will take us to a bridge on the river Gerzovska. Trek takes about one hour.
∗ The next stage will take us to the waterfall – Orpheus and the Heart.
∗ A pleasant picnic amidst the captivating tranquility in the area.
∗ The third stage will take us to several panoramic sites.
∗ After an inspiring break will get back to the starting point.
∗ Departure back to Sofia and Plovdiv.
∗ 19:30: Expected time of arrival in Plovdiv at the parking in front of hotel Princess (Trimoncium Hotel).
∗ 19:30: Expected time of arrival in Sofia at the parking lot behind Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.
ATTENTION:
∗ Mandatory requirement for tourists – Before the start of each mountain hike, clients receive instruction from a licensed mountain guide and undertake to comply with the instructions given to them.
∗ Changes in the program are possible, based on objective factors, mostly of meteorological nature.
PERSONAL EQUIPMENT:
∗ Please wear comfortable hiking boots, warm clothes, dry food, water, raincoate.
∗ Windproof and waterproof jacket.
∗ Extra garment (fleece).
∗ Water bottle at least 1 liter.
∗ Hat/towel, sunscreen and sunglasses, raincoat.
∗ Insole (optional).
∗ In bad weather conditions the program can be shortened or replaced.
RECOMMENDED INFORMATION:
∗ Food for lunch, picnic type. It is recommended to consider in advance that your food is as energetic and healthy as possible.
∗ Travelers should have a moderate to good level of physical fitness.
