Visit town of Pomorie. An ancient city and today an important tourist destination. The city of Pomorie is located on a peninsula. A large body of water right next to the city is the Pomorie Lake, where healing mud and salt are mined. Lake Pomorie is extremely salty. It is a lagoon of natural origin, separated from the sea by a natural sandbar, and in its southern part there is an artificial canal connecting it to the sea. The lake is a very important ornithological site. From here passes the way of migration of birds from Europe to Africa – Via Pontica.

Town of Pomorie
The city of Pomorie is located on a peninsula. A large body of water right next to the city is the Pomorie Lake, where healing mud and salt are mined. Lake Pomorie is extremely salty. It is a lagoon of natural origin, separated from the sea by a natural sandbar, and in its southern part there is an artificial canal connecting it to the sea. The lake is a very important ornithological site. From here passes the way of migration of birds from Europe to Africa – Via Pontica.

To this day, the city has developed as an important producer of salt, wine and other agricultural products, a major republican center for balneo and sea healing. The municipal museum and gallery are located in the mainly reconstructed building of the former “burnt high school” (an architectural monument).

When exactly Pomorie was founded is currently difficult to establish. The remains of an ancient settlement (3100) discovered a few years ago.

Town of Plovdiv
One of the oldest cities in an Europe, the beginning of it’s history dates back to 6,000 years B.C.
In ancient times Thracians inhabited the Three Hills and built a fortified settlement – the largest city in Thrace. As a matter of fact in the 4th century BC Plovdiv was conquered by Phillip of Macedon.

Veliko Tarnovo
The medieval fortress Tsarevets, situated on the homonymous peak, surrounded on three sides by the river Yantra. In fact the fortress was built before more than 5,000 years ago, which is proven by archaeological excavations. Also this is a city with many attractions and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Bulgaria. Its unique location on the three hills Tsarevets, Trapezitsa and Mount Athos, makes the city one of the most beautiful in Bulgaria. The ancient city can enchant and leave without words anyone who once steps on its narrow cobbled streets.

Town of Varna
It is the third-largest city in Bulgaria and the largest city and seaside resort. Varna developed from a Thracian seaside settlement to a major seaport on the Black Sea.
The oldest gold treasure in the world, belonging to the Varna culture, was discovered in the Varna Necropolis and dated to 4600–4200 BC. Since the discovery of the Varna Necropolis in 1974, 294 burial sites were found, with over 3000 golden items inside.
Now days Varna is an important centre for business, transportation, education, tourism, entertainment and healthcare.
