MOSCOW

To fully understand the majesty of the city, the first stop can only be the Red Square: it is the real heart of Moscow and will leave you breathless. Walking through the square you will find yourself in front of the splendid and colorful Cathedral of San Basilio.

On the right side of the square is the Gum, a huge shopping center, while in other parts of the square there are the Museum of Russian History and Lenin’s mausoleum. Then there is the Kremlin, one of the most famous fortified citadels in the world.

Inside there are three cathedrals, two churches, an armory used as a museum, the palace of the Senate, that of the patriarch, the Poteshny Palace, the bell tower of Ivan the Great and much more. Another symbol of the city is certainly the Bolshoi theater, with its neoclassical facade, one of the temples of ballet in the world.

Тhe Russian capital is huge. If, after seeing the must-see attractions of the city, you still have some time left, there is no shortage of options. Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts houses a vast collection of works from ancient Egypt and ancient Greece, but also masterpieces of modern art and post-impressionism.

The Novodevichy Cemetery is interesting, where it is possible to visit the graves of famous Russian writers, directors, politicians and personalities.

Then there is the Tretyakov Gallery, with its treasure of over 1,300 works, and the Tsaritsyno Park, with romantic paths, bridges and ponds. Finally, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior,a relaxing afternoon at Gorky Park are worth a visit.

The city is romantic, mystical, unique for its history and attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world at any time of the year.
Its streets are permeated with the spirit of the history of the Russian Empire, the destiny of Russia was created in its streets. His cultural interests are world famous.

It is not worth going to visit St. Petersburg for a weekend, this is very little to explore all the attractions, but keep in mind that even if you get there in a couple of hours, this will be enough to immerse yourself in its unique atmosphere and get sick of it because St. Petersburg is beautiful at any time of the year.See the white nights and the drawbridges. The white nights are particularly impressive for those who see them for the first time, it is one of the most exciting shows – the opening of the bridges against the backdrop of a night sky! What could be more beautiful than seeing the bridges open? By the way, there are more than 300 bridges in the city, but only 9 rise regularly. It is good to stroll along the bright night streets!Sunrise on Nevsky Prospekt and the Neva River. During the day Nevsky Prospekt is crowded with tourists and citizens. But in the early morning the streets are empty and spacious. In the morning here you can have a coffee and eat a cake in one of the local sleepless people, listen to street musicians singing while playing the guitar, photograph the facades of old buildings.

Walk on the roofs. An unusual walk on the roofs of St. Petersburg. It is the opportunity to enjoy the view of the city from above and take beautiful photos.visit world famous museums and theaters. In St. Petersburg there are about 200 museums, where the collections of famous painters, sculptors of the past and present are kept. The Hermitage is one of the most famous museums in the world. Its history began with the private collections of the Russian Empress Catherine II. The museum complex with the Winter Palace at the head, will show you a collection of royal works of art of absolute fame. The best classical theaters in Russia, the Mariinsky Theater, the Alexandrinsky, the Mikhailovsky, are all ready to show you their best opera and ballet productions.

Admire the architecture. Visit St. Petersburg, an open-air museum. The city was built to last for centuries. Today all the architectural projects of the past are a wonderful ensemble that we fall in love with. Styles such as Peter’s Baroque and Elizabethan, the Neo-Russian style and even Soviet Constructivism were born in St. Petersburg.

Visit cathedrals and churches. Even if you are not very religious, many beautiful churches and cathedrals are worth a visit.
