DAY 1
∗ 07:00: From Sofia – Our team will be waiting to greet you at the parking behind Alexander Nevski Cathedral, http://!!!Green Valleys meeting point SOFIA google/maps!!!, or you can arrange your pick up point in advance with member of our booking team.
∗ 09:00: From Plovdiv – Our team will be waiting to greet you at the parking in front of the hotel Princess (Trimoncium Hotel Plovdiv), http://!!!Green Valleys meeting point Plovdiv. google/maps!!!, or you can arrange your pick up point in advance with member of our booking team.
∗ The journey takes about three and a half hours to the starting point for treks in the village of Gela. From there we will take Hiking trek to the next stop. The trek takes about 1 hour.
∗ Gradishteto fortress from where a panoramic view of Rhodopes mountains is revealed.
∗ A pleasant picnic amidst the captivating tranquility in the area of the mountain.
∗ Next Treck will takes about 1 and a half hours to the Orpheus Peak at (2188 m – 7178 ft) above sea level.
∗ After a break on the peak we will get back to the trek to the village of Gela. The trek takes approx three hours.
∗ Hotel check-in, in the village of Gela.
∗ Dinner at the hotel restaurant, relax in a traditional atmosphere while enjoying deliciously prepared food, free time.
DAY2
∗ Today after breakfast we will continue our adventure in the mountains.
∗ Short transfer to the waterfall Samodivsko Praskalo.
∗ First trek will leads us to the beautiful waterfall Samodivsko Praskalo. It is extremely beautiful.
∗ Next stop of the trek is the area of Lakata, in which a medieval settlement existed.
∗ A pleasant picnic amidst the captivating tranquility in the area.
∗ Get to the last point of the trail, Kaleto fortress. The remains of the famous Rhodope fortress, existed in the period VI-XIII centuries.
∗ Departure back to Sofia and Plovdiv.
∗ 17:30: Expected time of arrival in Plovdiv at the parking in front of hotel Princess (Trimoncium Hotel).
∗ 19:30: Expected time of arrival in Sofia at the parking lot behind Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.
ATTENTION:
∗ Mandatory requirement for tourists – Before the start of each mountain hike, clients receive instruction from a licensed mountain guide and undertake to comply with the instructions given to them.
∗ Changes in the program are possible, based on objective factors, mostly of meteorological nature.
PERSONAL WINTER EQUIPMENT:
∗ Please wear comfortable hiking three-season shoes, warm clothes, dry food, water, raincoate.
∗ Geta for the feet.
∗ Stocks (with wide circles).
∗ Thermal underwear – top and bottom.
∗ Gloves – a pair of thin and a pair of winter (warm and waterproof), plus spare.
∗ Warm hat.
∗ Scarf or wind mask, buff.
∗ Ski mask – for bad weather.
∗ Flashlight
∗ Personal first aid kit.
∗ Windproof and waterproof jacket.
∗ Extra garment (fleece).
∗ Water bottle at least 1 liter.
∗ Hat/towel, sunscreen and sunglasses, raincoat.
∗ Insole (optional).
∗ In bad weather conditions the program can be shortened or replaced.
RECOMMENDED INFORMATION:
∗ Food for lunch, picnic type. It is recommended to consider in advance that your food is as energetic and healthy as possible.
∗ Travelers should have a moderate to good level of physical fitness.
In case of medical issues or allergies you should always consult your tour representative if you are not sure of what ingredients a dish contains.
