Architectural and Ethnographic Town of Melnik and Samuel’s fortress.
Keeps more then 5,000 years tradition and history of producing wine. The locals (Thracian) the legends say: that Melnik were the Thracian city, and more particularly the Thracian tribe Maedi, of which the legendary rebel Spartacus originated. Also famous in entire Europe for its finest wine, since with which it is famous even nowadays.

∗ 07:00: From Plovdiv – Our team will be waiting to greet you at the parking in front of the hotel Princess (Trimoncium Hotel Plovdiv), http://!!!Green Valleys meeting point Plovdiv. google/maps!!!, or you can arrange your pick up point in advance with member of our booking team.
∗ Visit Rupite – The memorial temple “St. Petka of Bulgaria”. Bulgarian medium Baba Vanga lived and was buried.
∗ From Rupite we will take hiking trek to the next stop the crater of the Kozhuh volcano . The trek takes about 02:00 hours.
∗ A pleasant picnic amidst the captivating tranquility in the area.
∗ After an inspiring break at the crater of the Kozhuh volcano, we heading to the next stop antique town of Heraclea Sintica. The treck takes about 2:00 hours.
∗ Discover the antique town of Heraclea Sintica. There are ruins of representative buildings of the ancient city were built with great grace, the city layout was constructed in accordance with the principles of the Hippodamian Plan. A part of the city basilica was also preserved, where various litigation were resolved. Coins and two votive tablets of Heracles and Artemis were discovered. Heraclea Sintica was an ancient Greek polis built by Philip II of Macedon.
∗ Enjoyable afternoon in the termal hot water in the area of Rupite – please take swimwear and flip flops.
∗ Short transfer to the town of Melnik.
∗ Hotel check-in, in town of Melnik.
∗ Dinner at the hotel restaurant, relax in a traditional atmosphere while enjoying deliciously prepared food, free time.
Day 2
∗ Today after breackfast – Enjoyable morning tour in the architectural and ethnographic town of Melnik, time for souvenirs and a walk.
∗ Departure towards Samuel’s fortress.
∗ Discover the Samuel’s fortress.
∗ Visit to the museum is the city of Petrich.
∗ Departure back to Sofia and Plovdiv.
∗ 18:30: Expected time of arrival in Sofia at the parking lot behind Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.
∗ 20:30: Expected time of arrival in Plovdiv at the parking in front of hotel Princess (Trimoncium Hotel).
