Rila National Park is the largest national park in Bulgaria. The Park contains rare and endangered wildlife species and communities, self-regulating ecosystems of biological diversity, as well as historic sites of global cultural and scientific significance. Some of the largest rivers in the Balkan Peninsula originate here.

Day Tour
∗ 07:00: ur team will be waiting to meet you in front of Metro station Inter Expo Center – Tsarigradsko shose (Towards Plovdiv).
∗ The journey takes about one and the half hours to the starting point for treks in the area of lower part of the Mechit ski slope, the village of Govedartsi. From there we will take hiking trek to the next stop Mechit hut (1670 m – 5479 ft). The trek takes about 01:30 hours.
∗ A pleasant picnic amidst the captivating tranquility in the area.
∗ After a lunch break we will continue hiking to the peak little Mechit at (2171 m – 7122 ft) from where a panoramic view of Vitosha mountain is revealed. The trek takes about 01:30 hours.
∗ After an inspiring break at the summit we geting back to the starting point at the trek in the area of lower part of the Mechit ski slope, the village of Govedartsi. The trek takes approx 03:00 hours.
∗ Departure back to Sofia.
ATTENTION:
∗ Mandatory requirement for tourists – Before the start of each mountain hike, clients receive instruction from a licensed mountain guide and undertake to comply with the instructions given to them.
∗ Changes in the program are possible, based on objective factors, mostly of meteorological nature.
PERSONAL WINTER EQUIPMENT:
∗ Please wear comfortable hiking three-season shoes, warm clothes, dry food, water, raincoate.
∗ Geta for the feet.
∗ Stocks (with wide circles).
∗ Thermal underwear – top and bottom.
∗ Gloves – a pair of thin and a pair of winter (warm and waterproof), plus spare.
∗ Warm hat.
∗ Scarf or wind mask, buff.
∗ Ski mask – for bad weather.
∗ Flashlight
∗ Personal first aid kit.
∗ Windproof and waterproof jacket.
∗ Extra garment (fleece).
∗ Water bottle at least 1 liter.
∗ Hat/towel, sunscreen and sunglasses, raincoat.
∗ Insole (optional).
∗ In bad weather conditions the program can be shortened or replaced.

∗ Food for lunch, picnic type. It is recommended to consider in advance that your food is as energetic and healthy as possible.
∗ Travelers should have a moderate to good level of physical fitness.
