Bruges – like it came out of a postcard. Ghent – breathtaking with its grandeur. And Brussels? There, culture mixes with the taste of real Belgian beer and the aroma of hot chocolate. Visit the European Parliament, enter a chocolate museum, a local brewery, get lost in the small streets and find yourself with a smile. 4 days, endless inspiration. Your place is waiting for you.
Highlights:
Day 1
∗ Round-trip transfer from/to Plovdiv and Stara Zagora to Sofia Airport.
∗ Flights:
🛫SOFIA (SOF) – BRUSSELS (Charleroi CRL): 14:10 – 15:55 T2
∗ 12:00: Meeting at Terminal 1 of Sofia Airport two hours before the flight.
∗ 14:10: International flight Sofia – Brussels.
∗ Arrival in Brussels around 16:00.
∗ Check-in at the hotel.
∗ Dinner – Overnight.
Day 2
∗ Today after breakfast we head to Antwerp – the city of Rubens.
∗ Transfer to Antwerp, about 40 minutes.
∗ Visit to Antwerp: A magnificent city with unique architecture. The station building deserves attention, which is one of the first in Europe, when train travel was a luxury and privilege.
∗ Visit to Rubens’ house and the city cathedral with his triptych and the unique city square.
Light lunch in one of the many restaurants and tasting of local beer.
∗ Return to Brussels.
∗ Dinner at Saint Catherine Square, a lively place with many bars and small cozy restaurants.
Day 3
∗ After breakfast we head to the next notable cities, we will visit Bruges and Ghent.
∗ We travel by train to Bruges and Ghent – rival cities in the past with very different fates. Due to the dried up waterway to the sea, Bruges remained stagnant in the 15th century, while Ghent developed into a powerful industrial and commercial center, preserving the memory of its medieval grandeur.
∗ Visit to Bruges: City tour, visit to the cathedral, where you can see the only sculpture of Michelangelo outside of Italy.
∗ Bruges has a wonderful chocolate museum with tasting, which we will also visit.
∗ Visit to the local brewery for a bite to eat and tasting of the great local beer.
∗ Visit to Ghent. Here we will visit the huge cathedrals from the 14th-15th centuries, as well as the castle of the Counts of Flanders, whose lineage was sadly interrupted under Baldwin II.
∗ Evening return to Brussels.
∗ Dinner – Overnight.

∗ Today after breakfast unfortunately is the last day in Belgium.
∗ Walk around Brussels with a visit to the Atomium and departure.
∗ Departure to Charleroi Airport.
∗ Free time and departure with the evening flight.
