In fact the Buzludzha monument is on the Sixth place of the European the best destinations. The best abandoned places on the planet earth. Monument on the peak was built by the Bulgarian communist regiem to commemorate the event in 1891. Also the UFO-building was the site of many state functions with Lenin and Marx posters and a red-star on the ceiling.
Shipka Monument
It was opened with a ceremony in 1934 in a honour of Battle of Shipka pass. As a matter of fact it was the scene of a series of conflicts collectively named the Battle of Shipka Pass. Fought between the Russians aided by Bulgarian volunteers and the Ottoman Empire.

•14:30-15:15: Departure and heading to the Shipka Monument.

The Buzludzha Monument on the peak was built by the Bulgarian communist regime to commemorate the events in 1891 .The UFO-esque building was the site of many state functions, with Lenin and Marx posters and a red-star ceiling setting the ambiance. The monument was abandoned and closed to the public in 1989.

Shipka Monument
It was opened with a ceremony in 1934 in a honour of Battle of Shipka pass. It was the scene of a series of conflicts collectively named the Battle of Shipka Pass, fought between the Russians, aided by Bulgarian volunteers, and the Ottoman Empire
The monument is a 31.5-metre (98-foot) high stone tower in the form of a truncated pyramid. A giant bronze lion, 8 m (26 feet) long and 4 m (13 feet) high, stands above the entrance to the tower, and a figure of a woman represents the victory over the Ottoman forces.
