Amalfi, which is the town that gives its name to the whole coast, is certainly the main stop for those who find themselves passing by, either for a holiday, or for a business trip, in these parts.

The question, for those who find themselves in a place as beautiful as the Amalfi Coast, can only be the same: What to see in Amalfi?
Often, however, time is running out and does not allow us to get lost and lose everything necessary for a proper stay in Amalfi: often you have to do it quickly, as the times of modern life command and for this reason you end up having nothing but a day to discover this enchanted corner of the world. Visiting Amalfi and appreciating its spirit also means freeing yourself, albeit for a short period, of time, times and clocks.

Arriving early in the morning allows us to have a frugal breakfast (coffee and cappuccino will be just fine) and then spend about a couple of hours going where our heart takes us and where our eyes take us.

In exchange the fruits of a generous nature and the poignant landscapes of one of the most beautiful stretches of coast in the world. Since the 19th century, Sorrento has been a pleasant tourist city, with a strong bond with the Anglo-Saxon world dating back to the time of the so-called Grand Tour, when knowledge of the Mediterranean was essential for the formation of the Central European aristocracy. The result was a very different atmosphere compared to other tourist resorts in Campania. Perhaps less inclined to folklore, but certainly more orderly, more welcoming, more civilized.

As for the things to do, there are so many. The rhythm of Sorrento, the beating heart of the city. Bars, restaurants, shops and lots and lots of people practically all year round. At Christmas, then, the crowds are really great, because Sorrento is much more than a seaside resort. The only discordant note are the cars that cross the city center even if, it must be said, we are very far from the traffic of other urban realities.

What to see in Positano? Today we are talking about a real pearl of the magnificent Amalfi Coast, an overflowing casket of breathtaking landscapes, deep blue sea, fantastic food, and fashion.

In fact, Positano, loved by VIPs since the 1960s, has become so trendy that it has given its name to a way of dressing that is still in vogue today, a real lifestyle. All features that have given it enormous charm, I would say unique.

It is just impossible to confuse it with other places, even for another peculiarity.

It is a vertical town, which stretches with its colorful houses along a rocky ridge of the Lattari mountains. It is no coincidence that the French traveler Astolphe de Custine said.

In this incomprehensible landscape, only the sea is horizontal, and everything that is dry land is almost perpendicular.
