Strandzha and the seaside – The goddess Bastet, Indipash, Begliktash. Inhabited by the Thracians in antiquity. Strandzha mountain is an area with a large concentration of ruins of Thracian sanctuaries, sacrificial altars, dolmens, and other archaeological objects.
Culturally the Bulgarian part of Strandzha is known for the specific architecture. Rich of folklore and distinctive rituals, such as nestinarstvo (barefoot dancing on live embers), that preserve pagan elements.

∗ The journey takes about four and a half hours to the starting point for trek in the megalithic village of Beglik tash.
One of the largest prehistoric megalithic sanctuaries on the territory of Bulgaria. The earliest artifacts date from the VII – V century BC.
Scholars have found that Beglik tash was built by the Thracian tribe of the Scrimians, who inhabited this region of Strandzha in antiquity and have the fame of some of the best metallurgists within Ancient Thrace.
∗ After a refreshing break we head to Maslen Nos, during the transition we will enjoy the bizarre rock formations of the river Zigra and the bay Zigra.
Maslen Nos has been inhabited since ancient times. At the place where Ropotamo crashes into the Strandzha slopes, on the huge rocks carved by the river, the ancient city of Ranuli arose. At the mouth of the river are the remains of a Roman city. At the very end of the promontory are still the walls of the fortress Terra, which guarded this coast.
∗ After an inspairing break we will make a short transfer to the hotel in Primorsko.
∗ Check in, at the hotel, free time for the beach near by.

Day 2
Primorsko – eco-trail Marina river -Indipasha – Primorsko
∗ Today after breakfast we will continue our adventure in the Strandzha mountain, depart towards Kamenska brchina.
∗ The next point is Indipasha, a mysterious Thracian sanctuary in Strandzha Park.
The legends said that Indipasha began to act as a cult place more than 2000 years ago, but there is no scientific hypothesis for a specific dating.
Nowadays the place is a symbiosis between Christianity and pagan rituals (Religious secrecy). Also, a thin stream of water is filtered from the rock, which is identical in composition to the distilled one.
The place is associated with many mythical legends and traditions.
∗ After an inspairing break we will make a short transfer to the hotel in Primorsko..
∗ Free time for the beach.
∗ Dinner in the Hotel, relax at the charming atmosphere and get ready for the next day.
Day 3
Primorsko – Mouse’s field – Golyamo Gradishte peak – Plovdiv – Sofia
∗ Today after breakfast free time for the beach near by.
∗ Depart towards an Amazing Thracian cult complex.
∗ Visit the Mouse Levels. Amazing Thracian cult complex from the 4th century BC.
– Dome tomb. Built in a unique way for all of Thrace.
– Fortified building.
– Megalithic Necropolis.
– Antique water supply.
– Ancient mine.
∗ Visit to the highest peak in Strandzha ‘Golyamo gradishte’ at 710 m above sea level.
There is the famous mystical rock niche in which according to ancient legends and the prophecies of Baba Vanga. There is the tomb of the Egyptian goddess of joy and fertility ‘Bastet’. Goddess with a cat’s head and a woman’s body.
Also a place related to a lot of expeditions.
∗ Depart and head back to the town of Plovdiv and Sofia.
∗ 20:00: Expected time of arrival in Plovdiv at the parking in front of Hotel RAMADA (Trimoncium Hotel) or at your preferable location if requested in advance at the time of booking.
