This jurney will take you to the the most wounderful region in the Rila Mountain – National Park Rila

The Malyovitsa region is the cradle of Bulgarian mountaineering. In fact the region is one of the most popular tourist regions in the Rila mountain. Its northern and eastern slopes are steep and almost inaccessible while the southern and south-western slopes are more oblique. Malyovitsa Ski Centre — with two downhill tracks and two ski drags — is to the north.

The circus of the Yonchevo lake and Scary Lake in the Malyovitsa regionis is strikingly impressive, and seldom will one fail to open one’s mouth to the huge ridges above it.

Explore the antiquity temple and Sanctuary at Perperikon. According to the legends, two crucial prophecies were made from the altar of this temple. The first one predicted great conquest and glory for Alexander the Great. The second, made a several centuries later, predetermined the power and strength for the first Roman Emperor – Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus. The town was probably a royal residence for the Thracian tribe Bessie.

Rhodope Mountains
The Rhodope Mountains have rich cultural heritage, including ancient Thracian sites such as the Thracian city of Perperikon, Tatul village, medieval castles, churches, monasteries and picturesque villages with traditional Bulgarian architecture from the 18th and 19th centuries.
The area is especially remarkable for its karst areas with its deep river gorges, large caves and specific sculpted forms.

Bacho Kiro Cave
As a matter of fact the site has yielded the oldest human remains ever to be found in Europe.
They currently represent the oldest known ornaments in Europe. With an approximate age of 80,000 years, human fossils consist of a pair of fragmented mandibles including at least one molar teeth.
Morphological analysis of a tooth and mitochondrial DNA of bone fragments. Established that remains were those of Homo sapiens and Neanderthals.

Dryanovo Monastery
In fact is a functioning Bulgarian Orthodox monastery situated in the Andaka River Valley, in Bulgarka Nature Park in the central part of Bulgaria. It was founded during the Second Bulgarian Empire 12th century, and is dedicated to Archangel Michael.
