MALTA
Three islands, Malta, Gozo and Comino, make the Maltese archipelago a paradise in the heart of the Mediterranean, just 80 km from the Sicilian coast. But it’s not just the crystal clear sea and the sun that attract millions of tourists every year. In Malta you can appreciate the happy combination of nature and art, between the opportunity to take a dip in the Bluee Lagoon, get out of the water, and after a few minutes go to visit three Unesco sites and other historical and cultural wonders.
First of all Valletta, a city-fortress, intact, which preserves two works by Caravaggio in the Cathedral. Then the megalithic temples of Gozo, which, due to their colossal size, were believed to have been built by giants. Finally, the mysterious Hal Saflieni Hypogeum, the only underground prehistoric temple in the world.
Valletta is the capital of Malta, but thanks to its small size it can be easily visited in one day. There are many things that fascinate Valletta: the 7,000 years of history are all enclosed and concentrated in the narrow streets of the historic center, perfectly preserved and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

RAGUSA
Ragusa is located in the heart of the Val di Noto, in the south east of Sicily, and is the capital of the southernmost province of Italy. Immersed in an area very rich in natural and architectural beauties to visit, the city rises on the Iblei Mountains and is located next to the course of the Irminio river, whose mouth is part of a nature reserve located between Marina di Ragusa and Donnalucata.
Baroque architecture, which stands out for its flair and for the richness of decorative elements on vaults, columns, capitals and facades, is the most widespread artistic style in the Ragusa area, where it flourished following the earthquake of 1693. The importance historical and artistic heritage of the city has ensured that in 2002 it became part of the UNESCO heritage sites.
Visiting Ragusa is also a good opportunity to try the local cuisine, rich in typical products such as scacce and Ragusan provola.
Spend your holidays in one of the most beautiful cities in Sicily and discover the places of Commissario Montalbano, the police television series that helped make this corner of the largest island in the Mediterranean famous.
