CINQUE TERRE
The Cinque Terre, five towns, is a string of five fishing villages perched high on the Italian Riviera in the region Liguria, which until recently were linked only by mule tracks and accessible only by rail or water.
An ancient system of footpaths is still the best way to visit the five villages: click here for Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.
The Cinque Terre is noted for its beauty. Over centuries, people have carefully built terraces to cultivate grapes and olives on the rugged, steep landscape right up to the cliffs that overlook the Mediterranean Sea.The breathtaking views of harbours far below the wild but hospitable coastline along with the medieval fortresses and plentiful vines and vibrant colours make this a memorable holiday.
The Cinque Terre, recognized in 1997 by the Unesco Mankind’s World Heritage, are today a National Park and Protected Marine Area with the aim of protecting this great cultural heritage and natural environment.

GENOA
The historic center of Genoa is considered the largest in Italy and Europe, after that of Venice, and which as a whole has survived intact to this day. The Porto Antico has been redeveloped since the 1990s and today it is the central hub of Genoese cultural life, a place of access to the Aquarium and the Museum of the Sea.
To better understand the shape of the city, there are three privileged observatories: the Spianata Castelletto viewpoint, the Lanterna and the Bigo. The Spianata Castelletto viewpoint
It is a true “balcony” suspended over the historic center with a full-range view of the city and the harbor. To get there, you can use the Liberty-style elevator, which rises from Piazza Portello. In place of this magnificent viewpoint, overlooking the city, there was the fortress of Castelletto, which was precisely leveled.
The Lantern. It is the symbol of Genoa. It was rebuilt in 1543. It stands on a rock 40 meters high, bringing its total height to 117 meters above the sea level. It is possible to climb the 172 steps leading to the first terrace to enjoy the view of the harbor and the old town. To reach it, you can take a pedestrian street of 800 meters, which leads from the ferry terminal to the Lanterna. The Aquarium of Genoa
It is the largest Italian aquarium, second in Europe, after the one in Valencia, Spain. It is located in Ponte Spinola, in the ancient port of Genoa. Do not miss the Cetacean Pavilion, a truly spectacular work.
