DAY 1
∗ 09:00: Tour starts from the parking in front of the Hotel Ramada (Trimoncium Hotel, Plovdiv), or from your preferable place if booked in advance. The trip to Hisarya, (Roman city of Diocletianopolis) lasts about two and a half hours through beautiful countryside.
∗ 11:30 – 12:30: Discover the town of Hisarya, impressive Roman remains, (Roman city of Diocletianopolis), a small resort town in Plovdiv Province. The town is famous for its pre-historic remains and Roman ruins visible everywhere – public buildings, a small amphitheater, the barracks of the Roman garrison, the foundations of a couple of the oldest churches in Bulgaria, as well as the best-preserved Roman city walls in Bulgaria.
The town was founded thousands of years ago, probably on account of its hot springs.
∗ 13:00 – 13:30: Visit the Thracian cult center, near the Hotel ”Starosel”.
∗ 14:00 – 15:00: Lunch in a thematic country restaurant, relax at the charming atmosphere, while being served delicious cooked food.
∗ 15:00 – 15:30: Departure towards Wine and Spa Complex Starosel.
∗ 18:00 – 19:00: Hotel check-in. Hotel Starosel is located on the outskirts of the village of Starosel and is decorated in traditional Bulgarian style with natural materials like wood, stone and wool. The hotel is considered one of the pearls in the crown of Bulgarian spa tourism.
∗ 19:00: Wine tasting – The fines wine made by Thracian’s recipe.
∗ 19:30 – 21:00: Dinner at the hotel restaurant, relax in a traditional atmosphere while enjoying deliciously prepared food, free time.
DAY 2
∗ 09:00: Today morning after breakfast, there will be free time to enjoy on Spa and wellness facilities in a hotel. Also you can choose from a number of different activities in which you can take part of SPA and Wine Starosel” residence is one of the pearls in the crown of the Bulgarian Spa’tourism. Guest can enjoy thermal mineral water, unique style and first class facilities.
∗ 12:00: Check-out of the Hotel.
∗ 12:00 – 13:00: Boarding the coach and head to the biggest Thracian’s tomb on the Balkan peninsula.
∗ 13:00 – 13:45: Visit the biggest tomb on the Balkan peninsula, the tomb of Seuthes III (Ruler of the Odrysion kingdom of Thrace from c331BC to c300BC).
∗ 13:45 – 14:45: Lunch and relax in a traditional restaurant while enjoying deliciously prepared food, fine wine and lovely atmosphere.
∗ 14:30 – 16:30: Enjoyable afternoon at the Architectural and Ethnographic Complex Damascena, where the legends of Orpheus come to life. Orpheus was considered one of the chief poets and musicians of antiquity and is still a symbol of the art of music.
∗ 17:00: Boarding the coach and head back to Plovdiv.
∗ 19:00: Expected time of arrival in Plovdiv at the parking in front of Hotel RAMADA (Trimoncium Hotel Plovdiv) or at your preferable location if requested in advance at the time of booking.
